A total of 157 students from Puypuy and Masaya Elementary Schools benefited from the Adopt-A-School Feeding Program of AV Gedang Foundation in Bay, Laguna which commenced on Tuesday, March 26, 2019.
Now on its fourth year, the 120-day feeding program in Puypuy Elementary School benefited 75 students for academic year 2018-2019 which is higher compared to 60 in 2017-2018. Meanwhile, the inaugural 60-day feeding program in Masaya Elementary School benefited 82 students.
As part of the commencement activity, the AV Gedang Foundation held a cooking contest for students, teachers, and parents where they were tasked to cook different dishes using vegetables as the main ingredient.
The grand winner of the cooking contest received a stand fan while the second and third runner ups took home two-burner gas stove and rice cooker, respectively. The Foundation also gave grocery package as a consolation prize to other participating teams.
