The Department of Environment and Natural Resources (DENR) on Tuesday (March 19, 2019) kicked off its seminar on basic environmental compliance for public and private establishments within the Manila Bay area.
The seminar zeroes in on environmental laws and ordinances that establishments must comply with, as well as the mitigating measures that they can take towards immediate compliance to Republic Act 9275 or the Philippine Clean Water Act and the Supreme Court Mandamus on the clean-up of Manila.
Earlier this year, the DENR formally opened the Manila Bay rehabilitation project which aims to bring down the bay’s coliform to a level that is for swimming, skin diving, and other water activities.
The basic environmental compliance seminar will run until April 30, 2019. Interested parties may inquire about the seminar through firstname.lastname@example.org.
